Armed Forces Week 2015

Armed Forces Week 2015 is off to a strong start in Huntsville. Here is a list of events and activities to honor and celebrate our men and women in uniform!

Tuesday and Wednesday, June 23 & 24 - The Soldier Show brings their talents to the VBC with two performances at the Concert Hall of the Von Braun Center at 7:00pm. 

Thursday, June 25 - Toast to the Armed Forces, the US Space and Rocket Center. Enjoy an authentic German Biergarten under the Saturn V rocket at 6:00pm. All proceeds benefit veteran support organizations.

Thursday, June 25 - Celebrate Freedom Concert begins at 6:00pm at the Botanical Garden Boeing-Toyota amphitheater. Active duty and retired military members and their dependents will enjoy free admission to the concert performance by the Army Materiel Command’s rock band. The event is free for Garden members.

Friday, June 26 - The 4th Annual Armed Forces Appreciation Softball Games will take place at the Metro Kiwanis Sportsplex Field 2. The first game begins at 5:00pm with Redstone Arsenal leaders facing off against community leaders. Another game beginning at 7:00pm with memebrs of the Association of the United States Army facing off against local All Stars.

Additional events and services:

All week long - US Space and Rocket Center. All active and retired military and their dependents will receive free general admission throughout the week.
