Do you play Call of Duty?
If so, you'll understand that the only thing more fun than gaming is gaming for a good cause, so we’d like to recruit your help – and your Call of Duty skills – to do just that. From now through Veterans Day (11/11), we invite you to join the Call of Duty Endowment's Race to 1,000 Jobs (#1000Vets), a two-week fundraising and awareness effort will help 1,000 military veterans find high-quality jobs.
Create your own fundraising page at http://www.callofduty.com/vets. Ask your friends, fans, and family to sponsor you and then play any Call of Duty game on Veterans Day, November 11.
Your service will not go unrecognized. Gamers that raise $100 in sponsorship will get a copy of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for Xbox 360 or Xbox One (while supplies last) and the top fundraiser (must be over $5,000) will win a trip to Sledgehammer Games studios in San Francisco to meet the creators of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
You will also have the chance to win a variety of other amazing prizes, including a Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Limited Edition Xbox One and a Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Atlas Limited Edition game signed by Sledgehammer Games. See complete list of prizes and contest/sweepstake rules at www.callofduty.com/vets.
The Call of Duty Endowment aims to identify and fund the best-in-class nonprofits focused on placing veterans into high quality careers. We have benefited from the support of the Call of Duty Endowment, after they recognized our organization as one of these best-in-class nonprofits and bestowing us with the Call of Duty Endowment Seal of Distinction. Because of the support from people like you, by the end of this year, they will have helped more than 6,000 veterans get jobs, reaching about 25% of their goal of 25,000 veterans in jobs by the end of 2018.
