Shinseki's goal:Zero homeless veterans
"There are over 23 million Veterans in this country ,yet only about one third,roughly 8 million are enrolled in the VA System. Right now there are "131,000 homeless Veterans who will sleep in the streets of our cities tonight-men and women,young and disabled,from every war generation even the current operations in Iraqand Afghanistan" Veterans lead the Nation in Homelessness,depression,substance abuse,suicides "and they rank up there in joblessness as well" Shinseki wants to take everyone of these Veterans off the streets in the next five years.
